Modern Food, Rooted in Peasant Tradition
Modern food finds its roots in peasant food. Simple, humble ingredients, resourceful techniques, and a respect for using the whole ingredient have shaped the culinary traditions we elevate today.
The name “The Peasant” draws inspiration from traditional peasant dishes, which embody resourcefulness and simplicity. It reflects our commitment to utilizing every part of the animal from our butchery, ensuring nothing goes to waste.
This isn’t a Michelin-starred restaurant—it’s an intimate dining experience in a butcher shop. While we aim to make it comfortable, it’s not a white tablecloth affair, but rather a unique and authentic setting that reflects our ethos. We want you to feel at home here, with unfussy service, great wine, and exceptional food. It’s all about enjoying a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere while savoring something truly special.
Each dish is crafted by a single talented chef, bringing creativity and precision to every bite. This intimate dining experience allows us to focus on perfection. However, please note, if you follow a strict gluten or dairy-free diet, we recommend trying our weekend steakhouse The Beastro, as we don’t offer alternatives. When you dine with us, you’re not just enjoying incredible food—you’re part of a commitment to sustainability and flavor at its finest.

FAQ
Due to the nature of our whole-animal program, intimate dining room, and small team, we’re unable to offer as many accommodations as a full-service restaurant. If you have questions, please check out our FAQs or contact us at info@beastandcleaver.com.
